The short version

Bay D LLC is a small web agency that builds fast, secure, low-maintenance websites for small businesses. We're not trying to be the biggest agency — we're trying to be the most straightforward one. No upsells, no jargon, no bloat.

Who's behind it

I'm Jordon Baade — developer, gamer, and harmonica student, based in Michigan. I've been building things on the web since 2000, back when table layouts were cutting edge and "responsive design" wasn't a concept yet. Over the years I've worked across the full stack: frontend, backend, infrastructure, marketing, and everything in between. I've completed 98+ projects on Upwork as a Top Rated Plus freelancer.

I started Bay D LLC because I kept seeing the same pattern: small business owners paying too much for websites that were too slow, too fragile, and too complicated. WordPress maintenance plans, overpriced hosting, broken plugins, slow load times — the same problems everywhere. I knew there was a better way, and static sites are it.

What we believe

Performance isn't optional. Your website's speed directly affects whether people stick around, whether Google shows your site to searchers, and whether visitors become customers. Every architectural decision we make prioritizes speed.

Simplicity scales. The less complexity your site has, the fewer things can break, the less it costs to run, and the easier it is to maintain. We don't add complexity unless there's a clear, measurable reason for it.

Honesty builds trust. If a static site isn't right for your situation, we'll tell you. If your project is something we can't do well, we'll refer you to someone who can. We'd rather have a good reputation than a quick sale.

You shouldn't need a degree to manage your website. We handle the technical side so you can focus on running your business. When you need something changed, you tell us and we take care of it. No logging into dashboards, no wrestling with editors.

How we work

We keep our client list intentionally small. That means when you work with us, you're not ticket number 847 in a support queue. You have direct access to the person building your site, and your project gets the attention it deserves.

Every client gets a project portal with timeline updates, file access, and direct communication. You always know where your project stands.
