Community Program

Good work deserves good tools

Some of the organizations doing the most good around here have the least to spend on software. Over the years we've quietly hosted a few of them for free. We'd like to keep doing that, and to do it in the open.

So every year we take on a few projects for free or at a reduced cost.

Who it's for

Nonprofits and community groups in Muskegon and along the Lakeshore. If you're not sure you qualify, tell us your story anyway.

How it works

  1. Tell us your story. Send us an email about who you are, what you do, and what you need.
  2. We read every one. There's no form to fill in and no deadline.
  3. We take on a few each year. What we can offer depends on the project and on what else we've committed to. Sometimes that's looking after something you already have, sometimes it's building something new at a reduced cost, sometimes it's both.

What to tell us

  • Who you are and who you serve
  • What you're trying to do, and what's getting in the way
  • What you have today, if anything: a website, a spreadsheet, a system that no longer works
  • What a good outcome would look like for you

It doesn't need to be polished. A few honest paragraphs is plenty.

A fair warning

We're a small agency and we can't say yes to everyone. This isn't a contest or a prize draw. We choose the projects where we think our help will go furthest, and we decide what's covered one organization at a time.

Tell us your story.
